Mumbai: The Indian stock market witnessed a flat start today i.e. Friday after a huge rally on Thursday. During this period, the ratio of gains to losses remained in favor of the gains with 2006 stocks rising and 1031 stocks declining on the BSE. At 9:50 am, the BSE Sensex fell by 0.01% to reach a level of 62,268. At the same time, the Nifty 50 index declined by 0.01% to the level of 18,483. On the BSE Sensex, Larsen & Toubro, Axis Bank, NTPC and SBI were the top gainers, while Nestle India, Hindustan Unilever and Power Grid were the market drags.

There was a boom in these stocks
On the sectoral front, investor sentiment was mixed, while BSE Capital was among the major gainers. It climbed nearly 1% led by Larsen & Toubro and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. Subsequently, BSE Realty led by Oberoi Realty and DLF were among the losers.

According to the NSO survey, the unemployment rate has fallen to 7.2% in July-September 2022 from 9.8% a year ago. On the other hand, Tata is all set to acquire Bisleri for Rs 7000 crore.
