On the sectoral front, BSE Capital benefited greatly. BSE Real Estate rose, led by Larsen & Toubro and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, as well as Oberoi Realty and DLF. While the BSE FMCG index fell.

According to a survey by the Office for National Statistics, the unemployment rate fell to 7.2% in July-September 2022 from 9.8% a year ago. While there are reports of Tata group buying Bisleri for Rs 7,000 crore.
