Mumbai – Indian major indices showed a mixed trend among investors across sectors. The advance-decline ratio favored the advance. 2,218 shares advanced and 1,141 shares declined in the Mumbai Stock Exchange. While the value of 164 shares remained stable.

The worst performing sector was BSE Metals. While the BSE auto index was the top performer with a gain of nearly 0.91%. Shares of Reliance Industries rose 2.40% after brokerage Morgan Stanley opined that despite a likely pick-up in Chinese refined products and exports, there is a risk of a negative impact on the profitability of Asian oil companies.

The BSE Sensex touched a new record high of 62,514 with a gain of 0.30% at 11:20 am on Monday. The Nifty50 index rose over 0.20% to 18,563. Reliance, Asian Paints and Bajaj Finserv were the top gainers in the Sensex. While HDFC, Tata Steel and HDFC Bank fell.

Gold and silver prices are expected to remain volatile this week ahead of US quarterly growth data and non-farm payrolls data. The global crude oil market became more volatile as a result of instability in China. It also affected risk and demand forecasting.
