Bench constituted at Oxford University in the name of lawyer Cyril Shroff

Mumbai, Sep 12 (PTI) Leading corporate affairs lawyer Cyril Shroff has set up a bench at Oxford University to provide full scholarships to Indian students for research in the field of law.

Shroff, managing partner of law firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, has decided to set up this chair at Oxford University’s India Center for Sustainable Development. This bench will be set up at Somerville College.

The country’s largest law firm said in a statement that this bench will provide full scholarships to students coming from India to pursue research in the field of law. In the first year, this bench will bear the entire cost of three students. In the future, the number of students getting scholarships will be increased.

Shroff said that the scholarship distribution work on behalf of the bench will start from the year 2023.
