Penny Stocks: These penny stocks including Rollatainers Ltd locked in upper circuit today, see full list here

Mumbai: The US Federal Reserve has announced an increase of 50 basis points in the interest rate last night itself. It experienced a fall in stock markets around the world. Then how could the Indian Benchmark Index remain untouched by this? That’s why they also fell open. The rupee also declined against the US dollar in early trade.

Most sectors were in the red with BSE IT, BSE Tech and BSE Metals losing over one per cent each. On the other hand, BSE Oil & Gas attracted investors with gains of around one per cent even in such a weak market.

If we look at the Advance Decline Ratio on BSE on Thursday morning, 1,845 stocks gained and 1,485 stocks declined. Thus the advance-decline ratio remained in favor of the gainers. Broader market has outperformed the major indices. Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) was the top gainer in smallcap stocks of BSE. Today its shares rallied over 10% on a jump in volumes.

At 11:30 am, the BSE Sensex fell by 0.53% to reach a level of 62,347. The Nifty 50 index also fell 0.49% to 18,568. On Sensex, Bajaj Finance, Mahindra & Mahindra and Larsen & Toubro were top gainers, while Tech Mahindra, Infosys and HCL Technologies were top losers.

Here is the list of penny stocks stuck in upper circuit today. Can keep a close watch on this during the coming session.
