Mumbai: The stock market was closed yesterday on account of Mahavir Jayanti. Today the stock market is seeing a boom. The Nifty 50 opened at 17,422.3 on Wednesday. It had closed at Rs 17,398.05 on Monday. This was despite weak global signals. Major Wall Street indices closed lower on Tuesday. The Nasdaq Composite fell 0.52%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average 0.59% and the S&P 500 0.58% in overnight trading. However, the indices of Asian markets have performed mixed on Wednesday. Barring Japan’s Nikkei 225 index, all others were trading in the green. However, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng and China’s SSE Composite index are closed today on account of Ching Ming Festival and Qingming Festival respectively.

At 9:55 am, the Nifty 50 was trading at 17,481, up 82.95 points or 0.48%. On the other hand, the broad market indices have mixed with the frontline indices. Nifty Mid-Cap 100 Index has jumped 0.23% and Nifty Small-Cap 100 Index 0.61%. Given below is the list of stocks which are witnessing price volume breakout today.
