According to the latest economic survey, Pakistan’s economy has further shrunk in the year 2022-23. The population of Pakistan has exceeded 230 million, but the economy is worth 341.50 billion dollars. Its growth rate should increase according to the number of youth in Pakistan, but it is on the contrary decreasing. Economic Survey data shows that Pakistan’s per capita income has come down to $1568 in this financial year. While the economic growth has remained only 0.29 percent in the current financial year against the target of 5 percent.

India’s growth rate was 7.2 percent

India’s GDP is increasing rapidly these days. According to the recent GDP data, India’s GDP growth rate in the financial year 2022-23 has been 7.2 percent. GDP growth in the March quarter has been 6.1 percent. India’s GDP figures have come better than expected. India’s GDP is growing at a time when there are fears of a recession in the economy of western countries.

On behalf of Pakistan itself, the GDP estimate for the year 2022-23 has been reduced by 2 percent to 0.29 percent. At the same time, the estimated growth rate of agriculture sector is 1.55 percent, in industrial sector -2.94 percent and growth of services sector is estimated to be 0.86 percent.
