New Delhi: Domestic markets continue to sell off due to weak global cues. The ups and downs session in the market continued this week as well. The BSE Sensex fell 0.47 per cent in the trading week ended Friday on concerns over a slowdown in the global economy. But despite this, 16 small-cap stocks gave double-digit returns. Among the small cap stocks, Atul Auto has gained the highest gain of 30.44 percent in the last five sessions. Similarly, infra stocks Gayatri Projects gained more than 12 percent and Jindal Drilling gained 18.8 percent.

Shares of PSU stock GRSE also saw a jump of 18 percent last week. The stock has been bullish for the past several days due to strong outlook and low valuation. Apart from this, the stock has gained more than 100 percent in this calendar year.

These stocks also showed strength
Strong performers in the last five trading sessions include EKI Energy, Black Box, Ugar Sugar, Pennar Industries, JMC Projects and Indo Amins. Apart from this, Camlin Fine Sciences, Gujarat Themis Biosin, Estec Lifesciences, Rama Steel Tubes, Paisalo Digital and Brightcom Group have also returned more than 10 per cent. BSE500-listed Rajesh Exports, Brightcom, Castrol and Angel One also gained this week.

Which stocks fell the most?
On the other hand, India Cements, Suzlon Energy, Welspun and Vakrangi were the top losers. Shares of Adani Power and Zomato saw declines of 10-11 per cent. Also speaking at the sectoral level, the biggest loss was seen in BSE Realty. There was a decline of 4.2 percent. Meanwhile, BSE Utilities and BSE Power lost 4 percent each.

Stock market closes bullish
The stock market ended the week on a higher note. The Sensex closed at 57919.97 points, up around 684.64 points. On the other hand, Nifty closed at 17185.70 points with a gain of 171.40 points. A huge rally in Infosys shares was the main reason for the market rally on Friday.
