Mumbai : Global cues are looking better for domestic stock markets today. Today’s trading shows buying in major Asian markets. On Friday, the American market was also bullish. The Dow Jones gained 829 points, or 2.59 percent, to 32,861.80 on Friday, while the Nasdaq was up 2.87 percent to close at 11,102.45. Also, the S&P 500 index rose 2.46 percent to close at 3,901.06.

Beginning of the market
The stock market started on a positive note today, with the BSE Sensex opening up 287.11 points or 0.48 per cent at 60,246.96. Also, NSE’s benchmark Nifty opened up 123.40 points or 0.69 per cent at 17,910.20.

Market movement in the pre-open
Today, the BSE Sensex was trading at 60,175, up 215 points or 0.26 per cent, in the pre-opening of the market. On the other hand, NSE’s Nifty was seen up 105 points or 0.59 per cent at 17,892. The pre-opening signals of the market suggested that the stock market had a strong start to the day.

Which stocks bounced, which fell
Today, 28 out of 30 stocks in the Sensex are trading on a bounce and only NTPC’s Tata Steel is in the bearish red. Remaining 28 stocks are in green. On the other hand, 47 out of 50 stocks in Nifty are trading on a bounce. Here too only NTPC, Tata Steel and UPL are falling and rest are rising.

Almost all the stocks in the Sensex are trading bullish. Tech Mahindra, Maruti, Infosys are trading up over 2% while Tata Steel and NTPC are marginally lower. On the other hand, the Nifty’s Pharma, IT and Auto indices rose by over 1%. Three Nifty companies Bharti Airtel, L&T and Tata Steel will announce their quarterly results today, which will be the focus of the market. On the other hand, FIIs bought cash worth Rs 1,569 crore on Friday, while DIIs sold Rs 613 crore.
