BSE’s 30-share index Sensex opened up 237.77 points, or 0.39 per cent, at 61,188 in today’s trade. Meanwhile, NSE’s 50-share index Nifty managed to open 94.60 points or 0.52 per cent higher at 18,211.

Today, 26 out of 30 stocks in BSE Sensex saw positive gains in early trade while on the other hand, 39 out of 50 stocks in Nifty are bullish and 11 are seen trading bearish.
Bank Nifty is today’s star
Meanwhile, Bank Nifty is close to all-time highs at the start of the day, while State Bank of India (SBI) is the biggest gainer of the Sensex, rising around 4 percent. Also, Bank of Baroda is trading at Rs 158.35 per share, up around 10 percent. Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and HDFC Bank are also trading in the green sign of profit.
Which stocks rose in Sensex?
Gainers include SBI, Maruti, HUL, Axis Bank, Nestle, Wipro, M&M, Ultratech Cement, ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, ITC, Tech Mahindra, PowerGrid, Infosys, TCS and Bajaj Finance. Britannia shares also rose 10 percent today and are among the top gainers in the market.
Pre-opening of the market
Today, the BSE Sensex rose marginally by 15 points to trade at 60,965, while the NSN Nifty was trading at 18,210, up 93 points or 0.51 per cent. In the early days, the Sensex was frequently falling into the red mark.
