New Delhi, Nov 15 (PTI) The government has ordered cable TV service operators (MSOs) to register themselves with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting within the next 10 days. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the approvals received by the operators.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) had in May asked MSOs to provide information on head-end locations, condition-based access system, transport stream/frequency information, RF feed details, CTAV signal distribution area.

The MSOs were asked to share the information on a website created for the purpose.

“It has come to the notice of the Ministry that some MSOs have not yet registered and have not shared the information on the portal,” the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said in its order.

Invoking regulations under Rule 10A of the Cable Television Networks Rules 1994, the ministry has asked all MSOs to register themselves on the portal and submit the required information on or before November 25, 2022.
