The New York Times reported on Monday, citing people with knowledge of the matter, that Amazon.com Inc. plans to lay off about 10,000 people in corporate and technology jobs as early as this week. According to the report, the cuts will be focused on the e-commerce giant’s device unit, which includes voice-assistant Alexa, as well as its retail division and human resources.
