Gold futures up on spot demand
New Delhi, Nov 18 (PTI) Gold futures on Friday rose by Rs 58 to Rs 52,901 per 10 grams on fresh positions created by speculators amid strong demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in December was trading higher by Rs 58, or 0.11 per cent, at Rs 52,901 per 10 grams. There was a turnover of 5,942 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions created by traders mainly influenced the rise in gold prices at futures.
Globally, gold traded higher by 0.09 per cent at USD 1,764.60 an ounce in New York.
