Government made Arvind Virmani a full time member of NITI Aayog

New Delhi, November 16 (Language) Former Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Virmani has been appointed as a full-time member of NITI Aayog. This information was given in an official notification.

Arvind Virmani has served as the Chief Economic Adviser (2007–2009) in the Ministry of Finance.

“The Prime Minister has appointed Arvind Virmani (Founder, Chairman – Foundation of Economic Growth and Welfare) as Whole Time Member, NITI Aayog with immediate effect,” said a Cabinet Secretariat notification.

He also served as a member of the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Technical Advisory Committee on Monetary Policy from February 2013 to August 2016.
