Nitin Gadkari said that he will launch this car in August


Mumbai: Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari says that he will launch Toyota’s Camry car in August, which will run on 100 percent ethanol and will also generate 40 percent electricity. Gadkari said in a program in Nagpur on Sunday that new vehicles running completely on ethanol will be introduced in the country. We are bringing new vehicles which will run completely on ethanol. Bajaj, TVS and Hero scooters will run on 100% ethanol only. Gadkari said that he had recently met the chairman of Mercedes-Benz, a company that has started electric vehicles. He told me that his company would make only electric vehicles in the future. If you compare with petrol it will be Rs 15 per liter as ethanol rate is Rs 60 while petrol is Rs 120 per litre. Also, it will generate 40 percent electricity, so the average rate will be Rs 15 per litre.

Gadkari said that the BJP-led central government has created an employment-generating economy in the country. He mentioned a road project being built to connect Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri and the automobile industry. Gadkari said, ‘We have created an economy that creates employment in the country. I am building a Rs 12,000 crore road project connecting Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand told me that the number of tourists visiting these places has doubled. Earlier travel to these places used to last only for six months, but now the roads are accessible throughout the year.

Automobile industry will double in five years

He said tourism, restaurants, hotels, buses, railways and airlines all got business as the number of customers increased at these places. Gadkari said that the automobile industry in the country is worth Rs 7.50 lakh crore, providing employment to 4.5 crore people. This industry pays maximum GST to the Central and State Governments. I will double the size of the industry to Rs 15 lakh crore in the next five years. All the automobile brands of the world are coming here.
