US Treasury’s visit to India reflects the depth of bilateral ties: USISPF

Washington, Nov 12 (PTI) The US-India Strategic and Partnership Forum (USISPF) said on Saturday that US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen’s visit to India reflects the depth of bilateral ties.

Describing India as “an essential partner for the US”, Yellen on Friday called for further strengthening trade and investment between the two countries during her first visit to India as Treasury Secretary.

USISPF President Mukesh Aghi said in a statement, “Yellen’s visit to India reflects the depth of the relationship between the two countries and the close cooperation that exists between various ministries.”

He said the US recognizes India as an indispensable partner in the Indo-Pacific region and will support India’s G20 presidency to achieve their shared goals and priorities.
