According to Forbes, Group Chairman Gautam Adani has suffered a setback of $ 2.8 billion due to the fall in Adani Group’s shares today. He is at number 25 in the list of the world’s rich.

US-based short selling firm Hindenburg Research issued a negative report on Adani Group on 24 January. Since then there has been a sharp fall in the shares of the group. Since then the group’s market cap has reduced by $ 135 billion. Even on the first day of the new week, the trend of decline in the shares of Adani Group continued. Shares of the group’s flagship company Adani Enterprises declined 5.94 per cent. Similarly, shares of Adani Green Energy, Adani Transmission and Adani Total Gas declined by five per cent. NDTV (NDTV) fell 3.75 percent and Adani Wilmar shares fell 1.94 percent.

He is at number 25 in the list of the world’s rich. Before the report of Hindenburg Research came, he was at number three. In September last year, the market cap of Adani Group reached around $ 290 billion, but now it is less than $ 100 billion.
