Mumbai : Consumer durables retail chain Electronics Mart India’s IPO was oversubscribed 71.93 times on the last day of the offer last week. The QIB category received the highest number of subscriptions at 169.54 times. The IPO received bids for 449.53 crore shares, while 6.25 crore shares were on offer. Shares of Electronics Mart India are at a premium or gray market premium (GMP), according to market experts. Compared to yesterday’s price of Rs.24, today its price is Rs.30 in the gray market (GMP).

Investors are now looking towards IPO share listing. The company’s shares are expected to be listed on the stock exchange next week on Monday, October 17, 2022. The Electronics Mart India IPO involves a fresh issue of equity shares worth Rs 500 crore. There was no Offer for Sale (OFS) in this. The offer price range was Rs 56 to Rs 59 per share. A large listing of Electronics Mart India shares is expected in the stock market on the basis of Grey-Market Premium.

What is the business of the company?
Established in 1980, Electronic Mart India is India’s fourth largest consumer goods retail company with 112 stores across 36 cities in the country. About 90 percent of the company’s revenue comes from retail chains. The issue price of Rs 500 crore was fixed at Rs 56-59 per share. A minimum of 254 shares could have been applied for IPO. That means investors had to spend Rs 14,986 for one lot. So, maximum 13 lots can be applied for under IPO.
