New Delhi: Wall Street indices gave up overnight after US CPI data. Wall Street indices rose after the data eased concerns about a rate hike. Asian markets have also experienced a boom. Indian benchmark indices also continued their uptrend. There has been a boom in the shares of electricity, utility and IT sectors.

On BSE, 2068 shares opened with a boom, while 1217 shares saw a decline. The advance-decline ratio remained strongly in favor of advances. BSE Realty has become the best performing sector with a gain of 1 per cent. Phoenix Mills Ltd is witnessing maximum growth. BSE Telecommunication and BSE Fast Moving Consumer Goods proved to be draggers today.

At 11:15 am, the BSE Sensex rose by 0.39% to reach 62,774, while the Nifty 50 remained at the level of 18,678 with the rise of the index. NTPC Ltd, Power Grid Corporation of India and Tech Mahindra were the top gainers on the Sensex. While Nestle India, Bharti Airtel, and ICICI Bank remained the draggers of the market. Indo Rama Synthetics was the top gainer on BSE Small Cap today. Its volume increased by 11 percent. Apart from this, GIC Housing Finance and HT Media were the top buys. Bank stocks especially Yes Bank, UCO Bank are buying the most.

These penny stocks have touched the upper circuit today. You should keep an eye on these stocks in the days to come.
