New Delhi: At 11:02 am, the BSE Sensex was trading in the green. The Sensex gained 296 points and jumped to 60,582.91. In the broader market, BSE Midcap gained 0.25%. BSE Midcap was trading at a level of 24,698.80 with a gain of 61 points. Nifty Metal was the top gainer today with a gain of over 1.7% in green color while Nifty Auto was the worst performing sector with a loss of over 0.22% in the open market today. Top gainers included Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, HDFC Life, UltraTech Cement and Infosys. On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation, Coal India, Hero Motorcorp, Bharti Airtel and Eicher Motors were among the top losers.

Nifty also opened with green mark. Nifty 50 was trading at 17812 with a gain of 0.51%. Bank Nifty gained 20 points and is trading at the level of 41,511.40. The advance-to-decline ratio favored the advances, with 1663 scrips rising and 1482 scrips declining on the BSE. There was no change in 185 stocks on BSE.

Looking at the condition of the global markets, there has been a boom in the stock market. The S&P 500 closed 1.29% higher, with the Dow Jones up 0.78%. While the Nasdaq index closed with a gain of 1.90%. If we talk about penny stocks, today these penny stocks have hit the upper circuit. Investors should keep an eye on these stocks.
