Mumbai – Major US indices closed higher on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Asian market started trading with bullishness. However, Wall Street has not been mirrored in India. Oil prices fell further due to fears over demand forecasts. Indian domestic indices opened the session on a positive note led by FMCG, auto and metal stocks.

Despite higher levels, the index ended lower with losses of 5-7% due to significant fall in financial services and banking stocks. Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv were the weak performers in the Sensex.

The BSE Sensex was down 0.43% at 60,393 at 11:50 am on Thursday. The Nifty50 index was down 0.18% at 18,010. ITC Ltd, NTPC Ltd and Nestle India were the top gainers in the Sensex. While Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv and ICICI Bank were down.

1,670 shares advanced and 1,605 shares declined in the Mumbai Stock Exchange. The advance-decline ratio remained stable. The broad indices outperformed the major indices and were trading bullish. Indo Amines was the top gainer in BSE Smallcap. It rose nearly 15% in a weak market. Shares of TVS Srichakra and Engineers India Limited were also heavily bought.

On Thursday, despite losses in Sensex and Nifty indices, some penny stocks jumped in the upper circuit. Their list is as follows. Investors should keep an eye on these stocks for the coming sessions –
