Pressure on the market in the pre-open
The market is under pressure from the pre-open session today. Even before trading started, the market was showing signs of loss today. NSE Nifty Futures SGX Nifty in Singapore fell 140 points, or 0.79 percent, in the morning, following signs that the domestic stock market will open today. In the pre-open session of the market, the BSE Sensex fell by over 500 points, while the NSE Nifty fell by around 0.90 percent.
Adani Group shares also under heavy pressure
Shares of Adani Group, which has been in recovery mode for the past several days, took a break today and are once again trading bearish. Almost all of the group’s shares were trading in the red in early trade, barring Adani Green and Adani Transmission. Adani Group’s holdings include Adani Ports, Adani Wilmer, ACC, Adani Transmission, Adani Green Energy, Adani Total Gas, Adani Enterprises, Adani Power, Ambuja Cements and NDTV.
Market condition
Talking about the Sensex, all stocks suffered losses in the opening session except for two companies. Only Tata Motors and Bharti Airtel posted gains in the early trading session. While stocks like IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Bajaj Finance fell up to 2 percent.
State of the global stock market
Thursday closed with losses in the US stock market, which is seen affecting Asian stock markets including India today. On Thursday, Wall Street’s main sensitive Dow Jones fell 543 points to close at 32,254. At the same time, the S&P 500 closed down 1.85 percent and the Nasdaq fell 2.05 percent, or 237 points, to close at 11,338. Apart from this, the Asian market also saw a good fall during today’s trade. Futures trading in London and other European markets fell.
