Share Market Opening Today; Sensex Tumbles 1,000 Points Nifty Below 17,900 Check Stocks Biggest Losers


Mumbai : Indian stock markets also sank today in the tsunami that hit the American stock market on Tuesday. The stock market opened with a big fall today. The stock market has started today with a big fall. Sensex, the 30-share BSE’s flagship sensitive index, opened down 1,153 points at 59,417. At the same time, Nifty of the national stock market started with a big fall from the level of 17771.

Indian markets opened sharply lower today as a result of yesterday’s fall in US markets. SGX Nifty’s morning levels predicted that the market would open on a red note with weakness and it did. The market fell by 2 percent in pre-opening itself.

Initially market conditions
Today, BSE’s 30-share index Sensex opened down 1,153.96 points, or 1.91 per cent, at 59,417 in early trade. On the other hand, NSE’s 50-share index Nifty opened down 298.90 points or 1.65 per cent at 17,771.

Market recovery in early minutes
The stock market is showing a good recovery in the opening minutes and recovering from the lows. The Sensex fell 658 points, or 1.09 percent, to 59,912 in five minutes after the market opened. On the other hand, the Nifty fell by 189 points or 1.05 percent to 17,880.

Out of 30 stocks in Sensex, 5 stocks are trading in bearish red and 25 stocks are rising. Also, out of 50 Nifty stocks, 10 stocks are trading with gains and 40 stocks are trading with losses.

Sensex rising stocks
Today in the Sensex, NTPC is trading up 2 percent, Asian Paints up 0.67 percent, Nestlé up 0.36 percent and SBI up 0.26 percent. Apart from this, PowerGrid was up 0.18 percent, ITC was up 0.15 percent and IndusInd Bank was up 0.12 percent.

Nifty’s falling stocks
Infosys Nifty shares fell by 3.59 percent in today’s trade. Tech Mahindra fell by 3.45 percent and TCS by 3.29 percent. Apart from this, shares of HCL Tech fell by 2.60 percent and Wipro by 2.37 percent. Hindalco fell by 1.76 percent and L&T by 1.75 percent.
