Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) invested Rs 8,767 crore in the Indian stock market this month. In March, he had invested Rs 7936 crore. But at that time most of the money was invested in Adani Group shares. In the last financial year, these investors had sold heavily in the market. Analysts are of the opinion that these investors will continue to stay in the Indian market this financial year.

Government banks got target for selling insurance
Public sector banks have been targeted to sell major government insurance schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana in the current financial year. They have also targeted other financial inclusion schemes like Mudra Yojana and Standup India Yojana.

The finance ministry held a meeting with heads of public sector banks and financial institutions. It called for taking forward various financial inclusion schemes including Jan Suraksha and Mudra Yojana. Vivek Joshi, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, asked banks to achieve the target of financial inclusion in a time-bound manner.
