Oil prices edged higher on Wednesday after industry data showed an unexpected rise in US crude reserves. The development reflects a lack of demand in markets already concerned about the economic slowdown and disappointing Chinese economic indicators. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 1,677.60 crore, according to provisional data from the National Stock Exchange. While domestic institutional investors (DIIs) sold shares worth Rs 203.32 crore on June 13.

3555 shares rose and 1974 shares fell in Mumbai Stock Exchange. Advance-decline ratio remained in favor of advance. Tata Steel, NTPC and Tata Motors were the top gainers in the Sensex. While Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finserv and Bajaj Finance were down. Shares of Sangam India continued to rise in BSE Smallcap. It rose more than 17% in Wednesday’s session.
