These penny stocks closed in the upper circuit today


MumbaiThere is a strong trend in Asian stock exchanges and fall in crude oil prices. Due to this, Indian headline indices rose on Monday. Advance Decline Ratio on the BSE was the majority of the rising stocks. Today, 1,905 shares rose and 1,424 shares declined on the BSE.

At 11:15 am, the BSE Sensex climbed 1.07% to reach the level of 60,598. The Nifty 50 index also rose 0.99% to 17,962 levels. On the Sensex, Mahindra & Mahindra, Sun Pharmaceuticals and UltraTech Cement Company were the top gainers. Today Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, NTPC Ltd and Tata Steel were the top losers in the market.

Auto sector stocks helped the markets climb. BSE Auto topped in this. This led Mahindra & Mahindra to gain over 3%. Metal and real estate stocks were the laggards in the market today, while BSE IT, BSE Tech and BSE Telecom sectors gained over 1%.

The rupee appreciated against the US dollar in opening trades on a fall in crude oil prices and a bullish trend in the domestic markets. During the week ended October 21, India’s foreign exchange reserves declined as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) continued to protect the rupee from further depreciation.

On October 28, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced a hike in the interest rate on government’s floating rate bonds (FRBs), 2034 by 231 basis points to 7.69% per annum.
