Mumbai: There is a boom in the stock market today. Today Nifty 50 opened with gains amid strong global cues. The Nifty 50 opened at a level of 17,591.35 as against its previous close of 17,511.25. Major Wall Street indices also closed with gains. However, investors are still troubled by growing concerns about the impact of interest rate policy on the US economy. The Nasdaq Composite jumped 0.72%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.33% and the S&P 500 climbed 0.53% in overnight trading.

Tracking the major Wall Street indices, Asian market indices were trading mostly lower. Apart from Japan’s Nikkei 225 index and Australia’s ASX 200 index, all others were trading in red mark.

At 9:40 am, the Nifty 50 was trading at 17,557.9, up 46.65 points or 0.27%. On the other hand, Frontline indices underperformed the broad market indices. The Nifty Mid-Cap 100 index and the Nifty Small-Cap 100 index rose 0.41% and 0.42%, respectively. Given below is the list of stocks which are witnessing price volume breakout today.
