Mumbai – Indian indices traded flat for the second day in a row on Wednesday, trailing global markets. This shows the mixed trend of investors in the market. The Sensex started trading flat at 61,708. Meanwhile, Nifty50 of the national stock market started trading on Wednesday at the same level as last close, i.e. at 18,398. The advance-decline ratio at 10 am on Wednesday also indicated the same. 1,601 shares rose while 1,364 shares declined in the Mumbai Stock Exchange.

Broader indices also started trading at stable levels, aligning with major indices. BSE Smallcap Index was at 29083 in the morning. BSE Midcap Index was at 25494. Tanfac Industries Limited was the top gainer in the BSE Smallcap index. Because it increased by 10%. Housing and Urban Development Corp Ltd was at 9.51% and N Kirloskar Ltd at 9.21%. While the major loss was to Cressanda Solutions Limited. It was down 4.95% while Jubilant Industries Limited was down 4.75% from the previous closing session.

Sector wise BSE Information Technology Sector Index saw buying and on that basis FCS Software Solutions Ltd, Onward Technologies and Zelpmok Design & Tech Ltd gained 0.42% on fresh buying. On the contrary, the metal sector continued to decline on the second day due to profit-taking, with Tata Steel Ltd, JSW Steel Ltd and Hindalco Industries Ltd down up to 0.83%.
